Matti Klenell is a trained interior architect and furniture designer from Konstfack University College of Arts Crafts and Design in Stockholm. He was born in 1972. In the years 2000-2006, Matti Klenell worked as head teacher at Beckmans School of Design and he has also taught at Konstfack.
In addition to NC, Matti Klenell collaborates with, among others, Bals Tokyo, BRIO, Miljöexpo, Moooi, Muuto, Svenskt Tenn and Örsjö Belysning.
In 2003, Matti Klenell received the Ljunggrenska designer award. His works are represented at the National Museum in Stockholm, the Värmlands Museum in Karlstad and the Museum of Design and Applied Arts in Gardabaer in Iceland.
For NC, Peter has designed the chairs RIALTO, KNUT and TILT, the stool KOMPIS, the chair and sofa series JACKIE, the functional armchair JOHN, the accessories POCKET and VISIT and together with Matti Klenell also the table Chikan.
Over the years, Peter has been praised for his design. Among other things, the Forsnäs prize in 1995 and Young Swedish Form in 1998 and 1999. Sköna Hem's Jubilee scholarship 1999, Excellent Swedish Form 2000. Work scholarship Konstnärsnämnden 2001 and 2004. Sköna Hem's Furniture of the Year 2006.
