OUR RESPONSIBILITY

For us at NC, it is important that all parts of the company are based on fair conditions and fair working conditions, both for suppliers, our own staff and other stakeholders, no worker in the supply chain should work under poor conditions.

We work closely with Kinnarps' Code of Conduct, which is based on the UN Global Compact - ten principles for the company's actions regarding human rights, labor law, the environment and anti-corruption. This work requires all employees to take on their commitment to work in accordance with the core values and the Group-wide strategy for human rights. These principles are part of our management system, which is reviewed during internal audits and supplier assessments to ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct. In addition, we have also developed a Code of Conduct for our suppliers to clarify our expectations of responsibility in the supply chain.

Since 2019, we have been certified in accordance with the international standard ISO 45001, which promotes a good working environment and health. Through structured work environment management, we can address laws, risks and opportunities to run a well-functioning workplace. We will work for controlled working conditions throughout the value chain that contribute positively to social development in places where we operate and have our partners.

We always try to be as transparent as we can, both in terms of honesty towards our customers and that we have nothing to hide. Today, the majority of our production is in Europe and Sweden, where we have in recent years started to put more in Sweden. Our raw material, which is almost entirely wood, comes from Sweden, Finland, Poland and the Baltic States, where we choose traceable FSC®-certified wood as far as possible.

We are engaged in preventive work throughout our supply chain backwards. In addition to the primary work with our direct suppliers, we are also required to carry out mapping on our input components and their various subcontractors. Through certifications, audits and self-assessment forms, we can identify risks related to legislation, human rights, working conditions, health and safety, environment, and anti-corruption.

Our long-term goal is for all our suppliers to be assessed as having a low risk of violating the principles of our Code of Conduct based on the UN Global Compact. This is an ongoing process that requires continuous, long-term and close cooperation with our suppliers.
